Resources for Adults with Disabilities and Their Loved Ones

Personal Care

Our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) provide hands-on, supportive care to help individuals stay comfortable and independent at home.

Personal Care services may include:

  • Bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
  • Assistance with mobility and transferring
  • Meal preparation and feeding support
  • Toileting assistance
  • Medication reminders
  • Light help around the home
  • Support getting to and from appointments

The goal of personal care is simple: to help individuals remain safe, supported, and confident in their daily routines—right in the comfort of their own homes.

Companionship

Companionship focuses on providing social and emotional support. This service is ideal for individuals who live alone, may feel isolated, or enjoy having someone to talk to or spend time with.

Services may include:

  • Friendly conversation
  • Playing games, reading, or shared hobbies
  • Accompanying individuals on walks or outings
  • Transportation to appointments or errands

Companionship services help promote emotional well-being, reduce loneliness, and bring comfort through connection and meaningful engagement.

Respite Care

Respite care gives family caregivers a temporary break while ensuring their loved one receives reliable support at home.

Our trained CHHAs can step in to help with:

  • Personal care support
  • Meal preparation
  • Companionship
  • Medication reminders
  • Help with daily routines

Respite care allows families to rest, recharge, and manage personal responsibilities with peace of mind knowing their loved one is in good hands.

Private Pay Options

Home Care For You offers Private Pay services for individuals or families who wish to arrange care directly. Private Pay allows full flexibility in scheduling, frequency of care, and service needs.

Here’s a list of answers to the questions we’re most often asked.

If you’re new to Home Care for You and wondering where to begin—-start here.

In most cases, no. If you have Medicaid, your services are fully covered. For those without Medicaid, we also offer a Private Pay option.

Our team will schedule a brief consultation and, if moving forward, arrange an in-home assessment with a Registered Nurse.

All caregivers are New Jersey–certified CHHAs, fully screened, and supervised by an RN. They also receive ongoing training to maintain high standards.

Yes. We offer meet-and-greets so your family can select the caregiver who feels like the best fit.

Definitely. Care plans are flexible and updated as needs change. Our nurses regularly review and adjust as needed.

If a caregiver is unavailable, we’ll arrange a qualified replacement and notify you right away.

We keep open communication with families through check-ins, updates, and easy access to our office and nursing team.

We offer flexible scheduling, including daytime, evenings, weekends, and overnights, based on availability.
